My name is Dan Britton. I come from a farming background and I have worked with dogs either on the farm or shooting with them, since I was a boy. I enjoy driven and rough shooting when time permits!
By their nature, these working breeds make wonderful pets for anyone with countryside available, and so long as it’s a caring, committed home I don’t mind who buys one. It is as gundogs though that I quietly hope these lesser known breeds may flourish.
My primary objective is to selectively breed, maintaining the working dog’s attributes, in my stock. The onus for me, being on an intelligent trainable animal, with well proportioned athletic limbs, a strong body and a hardy disposition. I hope then staying true to type and keeping a sense of purpose for which they were after all, originally bred.
I am a member of the Accredited Breeders Scheme, run by the Kennel Club to ensure that I meet with current regulations. (see LINKS page for more details)
